The 4th Bin, a green electronic waste (e-waste) collection company, is a startup organization who is dedicated to educating businesses and consumers about the hazards of electronic waste (e-waste) and providing them with a simple and inexpensive means of rescue and disposal. Our goals are to rescue of all forms of e-waste, ethically and responsibly recycle, or reuse, the equipment and give back to our local communities.
We are seeking three computer savvy, unpaid interns. No work experience is necessary however a solid understanding of computer hardware and desktop operating systems is required. This should be considered a learning and resume building position and will prepare you for such things as:
• A+ Certification
• Helpdesk positions
• Level 1 support positions
This job can start as unpaid position and work toward a full time job and a position within our company as the company grows.
Candidate is expected to work 15-20 hours a week but you can determine your own schedule.
Responsibilities include:
• Evaluate all hardware (pc’s, macs, servers, routers, etc) to ensure that they are in working order
• When needed, upgrade (or recommend purchases to upgrade) hardware to bring to working order
• Install and configure Operating Systems
• Manage the inventory process
• Manage our ebay store.
